Our client is a boutique provider of alternative investment services. Due to exceptional demand for its services is seeking an Internal Auditor to work in its Dublin office based in the city centre. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, fast growing organization.
The successful applicant will work as part of the Quality Risk and Compliance Team and report to the Irish based Global Head of Compliance and the Global Head of Client Solutions. The role will involve working within the Compliance, Risk and Internal Audit Framework and will require the candidate to provide objective assurance and improve the groups operations through the evaluation of operations and their processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for Internal Audit in both Dublin and Guernsey and therefore some travel to Guernsey will be required.
Core responsibilities:
- Work closely with local management and staff on diversified projects – both in the European region specific and globally; and
- Develop and maintain an audit testing calendar indicating the audits to be completed over a defined timeframe.
- Assist with SSAE16 /ISAE 3402 recertification, liaising with all departments within both offices and with the Certification Lead based in our India office.
- Communicate and where necessary co-ordinate with the QRC Team across the Group.
- Review all group policies and procedures as applicable to ensure meaningful audit focus.
- Provide regular Internal Audit reports, identification of test failures and plans for remediation. Reporting will be at various levels to include Senior Management, Quarterly Board Reporting and also communication of audit findings to area of operations under review.
- Provide independent evaluation and opinion on group policies, procedures and controls; identifying weaknesses and recommendations for remediation.
- Work with Operational Risk team to ensure risk identification and assessment techniques are in place and maintained and to identify potential areas of improvement.
- Work closely with the GRC Team on both local and global projects.
The successful candidate should:
- Be ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified with Audit experience either through industry or practice.
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience within the Funds industry.
- Have a strong knowledge of internal audit good practice and methods.
- Be proficient with Microsoft tools.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Have excellent written and verbal English and the ability to develop and write meaningful reports and presentations.
- Have the ability to work on own initiative, to prioritise workloads and deliver to tight timescales.
