Description
Internal communications specialist will manage the implementation of Experian Marketing Services’ Global Product Development (GPD) internal communications plans and assist in its ongoing development and improvement.
The focus will be to support the achievement of the key objectives for Internal Communications for the group. These are designed to improve employee engagement:
- Create a coherent organization and culture
- Connect people with the goals of the larger organization
- Support leadership in their communication of the goals, operational culture change management
- Share good news, knowledge and expertise
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of internal communications strategy and campaigns that embrace all areas of executive and employee communications. This includes writing and designing employee focused collateral and communications including:
1. Newly created intranet – articles, organizational announcement, multimedia pieces and other value added messaging that keeps our employees informed.
2. Research and write articles for online newsletters
3. Create executive presentations for clients, internal partners and employees
4. Support communications planning for specific initiatives
- Identify and translate key product and technical announcements and milestones into stories for employees.
- Support internal global brand recognition of the recently formed global group
- Establish network of contacts around the world to facilitate communication with other regions and businesses
- Design and implement global communication strategy and material to reinforce group’s strategy, goals, organization, achievements and others to engage group’s employees and other internal stakeholders around the world
- Support the delivery of the group communications strategy by delivery and constant improvement of annual group internal communications calendar
- Creation of materials in a timely and accurate manner to Experian brand standard
- Management of key items in the annual calendar to ensure Executive involvement and key stakeholder participation
- Develop new communications approaches through to implementation which actively build employee engagement
- Act as a key point of contact for internal communications delivery
- Provide support to the Executive team in developing group input to global projects
- Be a focal point for information coordination for the group
- Engage with projects at an early stage to deliver an appropriate level of communications planning
- Ensure the development of an effective informal network of support for internal communications activity throughout the group
- Take action to ensure support for internal communications campaigns is evident at all locations, ensure delivery of company communications and build engagement locally
- Has a proactive approach to building a network of key internal communications contacts to support distribution and delivery throughout the organization and to facilitate the process of feedback and engagement.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Ideal background should include 4+ years hands-on writing and analysis skills in public relations (PR), investor relations (IR), internal corporate communications or journalism
- Liberal arts undergrad from competitive school paired with relevant masters
- Exemplary writing/journalist skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into crisp, easily digestible content through text and graphics
- Ability to influence and a confidence-inspiring manner a must
- Advanced ability in MS Office suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Background in organizational design, change management an added advantage.
- Global mind set. Proven success working with senior leaders in a highly matrix and/or global structure
