Internal Control Specialist Job in Dublin Ireland
The Client was created in Dublin with the aim of developing a range of offshore funds. It was authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as an investment management company in 2005. The client manages a number of European, American, Asia and Emerging Markets equity funds, including UCITS.
The Role: Internal Control Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Review and development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Ownership of Business Continuity Plan including testing and maintenance.
- Monitoring and testing of departmental quality assurance plans.
- Working directly with the Compliance Officer to ensure departmental policies and procedures are properly and fully implemented.
- Ensure recommendations from internal audit are implemented.
- Management and completion of departmental project work.
Knowledge Experience
- The ideal candidate should have 4+ years experience in an internal control or compliance role and have a working knowledge of auditing standards/ internal auditing standards and corporate governance.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry (preferably asset management/ funds) and in particular middle/ back office is essential.
- Credit risk experience would be an advantage
- Strong professional writing skills essential.
- Ability to run projects whether within a team or working on their own.
- Prior experience in writing and implementing policies and procedures and the management of same essential.
- Fluency in English (French would also be an advantage).
- Strong organisational skills, problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proactive professional approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
This role has an attractive remuneration package. Salary will be negotiable and based on applicable experience.
