Full Job Description
This is a really exciting opportunity for an individual with an internal audit, external audit, controls or operational risk background to join a new team in a global bank, tasked with assessing the risks around new and existing products in the bank. The successful candidate will be liaising with different areas of the bank to assess these risks thus they will need to be excellent communicators. Furthermore, they will need to be adaptable and innovative to help grow the team and develop their existence in the bank.
Supporting the Senior Manager, you will be integral to the development of the team including strong risk-based oversight across the product lifecycle that ensures a customer-centric approach and that products are aligned with strategic objectives whilst continuing to comply with regulatory requirements.
Using and building upon your understanding of financial products and risk management expertise you will assist in developing robust methodologies and processes that enable effective oversight and reporting with respect to:

?X Ongoing product performance
?X Product risk and issue management
The role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute directly to the success of the company and will involve the development and supervision of a team whilst building comprehensive knowledge of the Bank`s product base.
?X Proven experience in an assurance function, e.g. Risk, Audit, Compliance, in the financial services sector
?X Excellent understanding of the local business environment and of retail financial services products
?X Good awareness of the market and regulatory environment in which the bank operates
?X Ability to apply sound risk-based principles to ensure appropriate and effective prioritisation of time and resource
?X Confidence to challenge business processes - information, where appropriate, and to effectively manage and influence stakeholders to ensure the right outcomes for both the organisation and its customers
?X Ability to quickly absorb and understand complex data - issues, to extract results and to present key conclusions
?X Versatility, being able to effectively adapt approach when dealing with different product types
?X Flexibility to quickly and effectively adapt in a developing team and an evolving regulatory environment
?X Ability to work autonomously using initiative together with capacity to work under pressure and to deliver to tight deadlines
?X Excellent communication skills with an aptitude for developing effective working relationships and working successfully within a team
?X Team management and development expertise
