Internal Model Qualitative Analyst recruitment
Responsibilities:
Support the pre-application process of the Internal Model
- Input into the pre-application process and development of the internal model application for approval
- Support other workstreams to ensure that they understand the requirements
- Work with project managers, providing the content needed to oversee workstreams, delivering evidence and documents on time and in line with expectations
- Liaise with project managers, delivering the content necessary to ensure consistency between workstreams in terms of documentation, standards and evidence delivered.
* Operate as part of a team with the Qualitative Manager and others to communicate progress and key issues to others within senior management and market participants.
* Work closely with the Risk Management team (responsible for Pillar 2) to ensure that there is a proper link between the department and the risk management and governance activities of Pillar 2.
* Communication with stakeholders across the organisation which include, for example, those responsible for:
- the model design and implementation
- collecting management information
- producing internal and external reporting
- catastrophe modelling
- treasury asset model
- risk management
What you'll need
* Excellent general knowledge of Solvency II and in particular the internal model approval requirements.
* Strong focus on the use of modelling for business purposes and integrating risk management with modelling objectives.
* Project and people skills.
* Good knowledge of commercial general insurance business and preferably of Lloyd’s or the London Market.
* Problem solving skills.
* Presentation and influencing skills.
* Capability to communicate complex issues with colleagues, other departments and market representatives.
* Commercial acumen.
