Internal Sales Desk Associate
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Will work as a partner with an External Wholesaler to develop, maintain and expand relationships, and drive sales in your region for separate accounts, mutual funds, closed end funds, and alternative investments.
- Develop new business within the territory by calling Broker/Dealers and providing sales and marketing information. Provide follow up information as requested. Maintain contact with brokers and keep them up to date on products. Offer information, ideas and other material required in completing sales
- Handle incoming phone calls, requests for product information, sales and marketing material, and problem resolution in a professional and timely manner. Can include conducting timely, thank you calls, targeted campaign calls, and portfolio reviews.
- Establish key relationships with financial advisors with occasional travel to the territory to participate with the external wholesaler for dinners, seminars and meetings.
- Provide sales meeting preparation and follow-up for the external wholesaler
Desired Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of financial services industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of mutual funds, separate accounts, closed end funds, or alternative investments.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proven selling and relationship building skills
- Self-starter and self-motivated person who is capable of working in a team environment.
- FINRA series 7 66 required.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
