Description

NSI seeks multiple Internal Wholesalers to provide internal sales coverage and foster relationships with new and existing clients. The Wholesaler will work with Registered Investment Advisors (RIA) and Broker/Dealers (BD) to sell mutual funds and other registered products where Highland Funds are embedded. The job requires the ability to establish credibility and build rapport with financial advisors as a spokesperson of the firm to promote the Highland Funds in an effort to increase and maintain assets under management. 

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls, arrange meetings, as well as network with current and potential brokers and clients

• Meet client expectations to increase the quantity and quality of effective partnerships

• Partner and assist external sales directors in the promotion of the firm’s products to clients and brokers

• Establish credibility and build rapport with clients

• Participate in team meetings to gain exposure and insight

• Maintain files, accounts and logs, produce metrics and other reports as needed

Qualifications

• 0-3+ years of professional experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Communications and/or related field from a well-regarded university (e.g., SMU, Texas AM, UT-Austin)

• A high level of professionalism and diligence

• Detail and task-oriented

• Strong work ethic and a team player

• Must be a "self-starter" and self-motivated

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Outgoing and polished

• Ability to work an average of 50 hours per week

• Advanced MS Office skills

• Must hold or obtain Series 7 63; NSI will sponsor and must achieve within 90 days of employment

• Full product and industry training will be offered

• Desire to transition to an external sales role after several successful years in internal role
