We are currently looking to fill the International Client Relationship Manager position in New York to support sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain understanding of the sales strategy and the Legg Mason affiliates, their products, investment process, style and initiatives in order to proactively provide excellent CRM support to Directors of Business Development;
- Understand and anticipate the needs of the Directors of Business Development, and provide timely and appropriate support to assist them in developing key relationships with retail, home office and quasi institutional clients in order to deliver against departmental and organizational objectives.
- Strengthen and deepen current client relationships. Actively calling a broad range of clients to understand their needs, develop their understanding of the range of offerings to enable further sales opportunities.
- Support strategic marketing initiatives on a corporate and divisional level (across international regions), provide sales support for the Directors of Business Development.
- Support strategic Global Clients initiative by collaborating with LMID constituents around the world.
- Work as a partner with the other team members in order to develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy.
- Develop and enhance industry, markets, and product knowledge in order to effectively communicate and build credibility with clients.
- Deliver effective presentations for internal and external audiences to promote Legg Mason Funds products, services and competitive advantages (i.e. conference calls, presentations, etc).
- Develop and maintain a database of key relationships' behavior.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or business management;
- Strong presentation skills;
- Analytical skills;
- Ability to build relationships;
- Ability to learn to explain in technical details the products and financial markets;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and strong organizational skills are needed;
- Must also be able to work independently;
- Enthusiastic team player and self starter with ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced sales environment;
- Flexible and adaptable;
- Strong customer relationship management and servicing skills as well as internal corporate relationship management capabilities;
- Technologically proficient and knowledgeable;
- Series 7 preferred;
- Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is desired but not required.
