Main Function
Provide support to the International Assignment team
Main Duties
- On-going management and communication of the Assignment Program and Guidelines to HR business partners, line managers and assignees.
- The primary contact for interpreting Barclays Capital's assignment program philosophy including: managing exceptions of policy and elevating assignment and relocation issues through appropriate Business Unit Management and Global HR.
- Prepare cost projections for all assignees, produce requisitions and standard assignment letters within the framework of the International assignment policy.
- A liaison between, Barclays Capital, PwC, Payroll and the assignee's business financial officers to ensure accurate estimated assignment costs for planning and budget purposes are completed, and to ensure that costs are allocated accurately to the business units overall.
- To be a point of contact for HR business partners and line management and be able to offer some advise and guidance on the International Assignment policy and practices
- Manage the relocation programs ensuring smooth relocation services to mobile people. This includes the pre-assignment preparation and assignment letter preparation, monitoring services during the assignment and repatriation.
- Arrange accommodation for expatriates liaising with housing consultant and dealing with queries
- Arrange education for expatriates' children liaising with education consultant and arranging payment of fees.
- Monitor and calculate removal quotation and investigate queries. Ensure value of personal effects fall within insurance levels; arrange additional insurance cover if required.
- Manage all aspects of immigration program including the processing of appropriate visas and "green card" permanent residency applications.
- Advise HR Generalists, Recruiters, and Managers on immigration program and resolve application problems.
- To be involved with and provide support for one-off projects
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- 3+ years HR experience.
- Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
