Investment management products and services is a core offering within J.P. Morgan Private Banking.
It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. These strategies are delivered to clients in a variety of structures, including fund and fund wrappers.
Main responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Head of International Funds Management, this is a senior role that is being created in response to the increasing regulatory agenda in EMEA and the complexity of the change programmes that this requires across the International Private Bank.
This role will focus on all products and asset classes (not just funds) that J.P. Morgan Private Bank offers to its international clients, including bespoke solutions.
Key activities of the role include:Working with a range of functions across the Private Bank to scope the nature of the regulatory, industry or business change required.Establishing and leading the Programme required to deliver the change required across the International Private Bank.
This will include:defining the scope and structure of the Programmedeveloping the project plan and managing activities across all impacted functions in IPBconducting the initial feasibility analysis including the identification of roadblocks, budget estimate, infrastructure analysis, cross-business impact and resource assessmentaligning resources cross-functionally and globally where requiredassessing the competitive landscape to ensure the Private Bank remains competitive when implementing industry or regulatory changesdeveloping the end-to-end business and operating model with input from other functionsmanaging multiple and diverse stakeholders to achieve a successful conclusion to the overall ProgrammeManaging the delivery of new business initiatives and assess impact on existing business and operating model, product range and supporting infrastructure (technology and business) with support from the relevant areas of the Private BankEvaluating new and emerging industry and regulatory developments in conjunction with our Legal and Compliance teams from a business perspective to assess the impact on the existing business and operating model and product range
including industry, regulatory, tax business and competitive changes in relevant marketsLeading and implementing the delivery of any significant industry or regulatory changes across the International business, working across all functions of the Private Bank
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited, high quality institution is requiredExtensive experience in the Private Banking or Asset Management industry with particular expertise and a proven track record of managing and delivering change within a large, highly complex, cross-functional environmentCredibility and proven ability to engage with portfolio managers, asset class specialists, and regional business heads to discuss implications of new regulatory requirements from a business perspectiveSignificant project and change management experience with a proven track record of delivering complex product and/or new business initiatives across a range of functions and regions.
This should include the product offering, operating model, technology and business support infrastructureConversant with the broad EU regulatory regime and knowledge of local regulatory regimes in the EU and Switzerland is an advantageA broad understanding of securities, instruments and structured products, portfolio management techniques, investment processes, and investment management productsStrong recommendations available upon request
