International Senior Associate
Primary areas of support include serving as the Philadelphia liaison, support for new business and client presentations, production of RFPs, and representing the perspective of the non-U.S. business interests in various corporate initiatives.
Essential Job Functions: International Marketing Support Function
Provide all necessary support for the international effort covering a wide range of activities.
General International Support
- Fully support European and Asian market initiatives for both internal and external clients
- Coordinate all efforts between International teams and Brandywine Global management
- Support international marketing initiatives by coordinating between International and Brandywine Global management on Legg Mason initiatives
- Assist International Managing Director in role of liaison between Legg Mason Australia and Director by responding to LMA’s request for information, product training, calls with the PM’s, on the ground marketing support etc.
- Work with Brandywine Global legal and compliance on regulatory issues outside the United States
- Help support developing new markets or new aspects of markets in Eastern Europe, South America, Middle East, etc.
- Identify key local consultants overseas and their key decision makers to develop a relationship.
- Develop an in depth knowledge of the Global consultants’ offices overseas and their key research/field consultants and monitor on an annual basis. Get a better understanding of how managers are chosen.
- Overall client specific responsibilities:
- Support and monitor International accounts by working closely with designated fixed income CSA
- Coordinate and assist in all clients requests, meetings, and video conference calls that come from the International Relationship Manager
Marketing Sales Support
- Preparation of new business proposals for International prospects
- Preparation for Legg Mason affiliates new business proposals
- Preparation of finals for consultants and prospect meeting presentations
- Liaison between Ted Whitaker, Johan Joly, John Tsao, and CSAs in order to meet all necessary international support
- Work with communications department to ensure accurate and timely preparation of International related materials, communications, and educational presentations for sponsor firms
- Customization of new business presentation materials
- Produce and maintain quarterly competitive product analysis utilizing systems such as Zephyr, Wilshire, and Mellon Analytic Systems to compare and contrast Brandywine Global products with top global bond managers in the world. Provide competitive analysis to International team on a quarterly basis.
- Maintenance of SatuitCRM for all data pertaining to opportunities, prospects, and clients for International Sales.
- Be the point person for all international prospects, clients, consultants, including international business related issues that may arise in compliance, accounting, legal, trading, operations, the EC/Management.
- Focus on consultant relationships pertaining to international prospects and clients

- Flexible to having conference calls outside the normal working hours. Timing of meetings may consist of late in the evening or very early morning calls.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in related area required
- At least two (2) years prior related experience required
- Familiarity with asset management industry preferred
Interim International Client Service Support
· Assume responsibility of approximately 30 non-US institutional accounts and taking on the following responsibilities for said accounts.
- Client Establishment/Maintenance: Maintaining accuracy of client and account information in contact management database (SATUIT), and ensuring proper communication of account information. Facilitating new account establishment and contracting processes working in conjunction with ADM (responsible for new account setup) and our Compliance departments.
- Client Support: Client requests are wide in scope and vary in time to complete. They consist of custom attribution requests, explanation of an inter period update of our strategy or reporting item, or shedding light on some broad fixed income issue that a client or consultant needs to understand.
- Presentation Materials Production: Producing and maintaining presentations, graphs, slides for use in meetings and conferences with clients.
- Quarterly/Monthly Reporting:
a. Analyzing product performance and preparing attribution summaries
b. Preparing standard and custom reports per client request
c. Custom client requests – handle client templates that include risk data, volume data for sub-advised Legg Japan accounts, and updating manager reporting websites
d. Verifying accuracy of portfolio specific data
e. Overseeing the production and distribution of materials and reports
f. Customizing and assist in editing both monthly and quarterly commentaries letters to clients
- Administering the firm’s client-information databases: troubleshooting, verifying account and product-data, implementing improvements, etc.
- Fielding phone calls and making follow-up calls in response to client inquiries.
- Focus on consultant relationships pertaining to international prospects and clients.
- Assist as backup for the Fixed Income Client Service Associate team.
