International Tax Manager Job in Houston 77002, Texas US
This position will have broad international tax responsibilities which include assistance with the international subsidiary tax provision calculations, preparation of the US international tax provision, and preparation review of the US international tax compliance.
In addition, this position is expected to participate in operational and transactional tax planning, supporting and providing oversight to non-US tax personnel with respect to audit requests, and assisting with transfer pricing documentation and strategy.
The Cooper Tax Group is a dynamic environment and will provide room for the candidate to grow. In this role, there will be a significant level of interaction and team-work both within the International Tax Group, the Tax Department as a whole and other departments including Treasury, Legal, and the International Controller.
Responsible for:

Assisting with the quarterly annual foreign tax provisions calculations

Working with and train international finance personnel who have local country tax provision responsibilities

Preparing and reviewing of transfer pricing documentation, intercompany agreements, and related analysis

Preparing and reviewing of US international tax compliance, Forms 5471, 8858, 5472, 1065, 1120F and international tax disclosures for the US federal tax return

Assisting with the international tax planning and restricting projects, including company formations, liquidations, terminations, cash repatriations, and preparation/review of tax memorandum/analyses related to restricting projects

Assisting with international tax mergers and acquisitions, including acquisitions due diligence, acquisition/disposition financing, and post acquisition/merger integration

Providing Tax audit support, including fulfilling international tax requests associated with US/State tax audits, and support of host country personnel with foreign tax audit responsibilities

Providing general assistance with international tax department projects, including supporting complex tax planning projects, conducting tax technical research, drafting of tax policies, and maintaining SOX compliance requirements

Indentifying non-US tax issues/opportunities and work closely with global tax consultants in executing strategies to mitigate non-US tax risk
Candidate must have:

Accounting undergraduate degree is required: MST, CPA, or JD highly preferred

Minimum of 5 years overall Tax experience

Working Knowledge of FAS109, financial reporting, and international concepts (inbound and outbound) required

Strong technical/financial reporting research skills

Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects

Strong interpersonal, communication, and teaming skills, as candidate will be interacting extensively with members of Cooper’s legal, finance, accounting and treasury departments
