As our Internet Manager, you will lead the team responsible for all day-to-day business and creative activities involved in maintaining, updating, and growing the main website along with all client-specific sites and ordering tools. You will also help formulate the division's e-commerce and Internet strategies and respond to external client needs. As a key revenue driver for the division, the ideal candidate would be able to create and execute online marketing campaigns, maintain product assortments, and devise ongoing promotional activity.
The Internet Manager with also lead:
*Internet strategy and site enhancement initiatives
*Online marketing efforts including SEO/SEM, email campaigns, social media, and surveys and contests
*Operational execution of campaigns and measurement of effectiveness
*Client interaction and presentations related to online capabilities and campaigns
In partnership with our creative team you will apply brand and marketing strategy to an interactive online experience consistent with our creative (catalog, advertising, press promotions, other projects). The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with IS development and production groups to create and interpret business requirements and lead execution of project launches.
A successful candidate will have the following:
-5+ years of experience in e-commerce, with proven success in both strategic and tactical initiatives. Business-to-business experience preferred.
-Demonstrated ability to contribute to and lead early ideation and business requirements definition.
-Previous experience in presenting design concepts and capabilities to both senior executives and external clients and ability to provide guidance on effectively leveraging capabilities of the Internet.
-Sophisticated understanding of the creative process, including effectiveness in translating business strategy into complex products and executions.
- Understanding of User Experience methodology and testing and ability to apply learnings to site enhancements.
-Demonstrated ability to lead a small team of people as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have the ability to dive in and get things done. Maturity, ability to plan strategically, and accountability are a must.
- Strong ability to influence others and provide guidance in how to effectively leverage capabilities in the Internet space
- Ability to track and measure campaign performance and implement changes based on results through tools such as Omniture, Coremetrics or Web Trends.
- Understanding of e-mail marketing best practices and tools.
- Familiarity with web-based tools such as blogging platforms, photo and video sharing sites, survey and polling utilities and other emerging technology applications.
- Knowledge of latest versions of industry-standard Web content creation tools: PhotoShop, Image Ready, Dreamweaver, Flash, as well as working understanding of HTML CSS skills (knowledge of JavaScript, XHTML and RSS a plus).
