Inventory Analyst

Job Description This is a salaried position in the Allocation and Replenishment department responsible for all of the inventory management functions within a CMT (Category Management Team). These functions include, but are not limited to, forecasting and re-buying assortment and catalog merchandise, timely replenishment to the stores to maximize customer satisfaction and company profits, and achieving in stock goals on basic, program and catalog skus. Also, as part of the Category Management Team (along with the Merchandise Director, Buyer, Inventory Manager, and Planner) the Inventory Analyst is responsible for achieving or surpassing planned category performance and productivity standards such as sales, inventory, turn and GMROI while staying within acceptable OTB constraints. This is accomplished by managing and replenishing productive assortments, successfully launching new initiatives and maintaining positive vendor relationships. The position requires very strong analytical thinking as well as communication skills both written and verbal. At least a four-year college degree in a business or related field. A minimum of 1-year experience at Sterling Inc. in merchandising/inventory management or a minimum of 2 years experience outside of Sterling Inc., preferably in a retail environment of a large company. Requires substantial PC experience, preferably using Windows, Word, Excel and Business Intelligence tools. Prefer jewelry industry experience. Benefits Company Profile STERLING JEWELERS INC.
