Investment Advisory Analyst
In Australia, UBS is a leader in Wealth Management, with a comprehensive range of products services including discretionary and advisory portfolio construction advice and execution across equities, fixed income, cash and alternative asset classes. Through the global reach of UBS, Australian clients can access all major international securities markets, and can hold assets or liabilities in 15 currencies.
Within Investment Products and Services is the Advisory Products function. It provides research advice support for mandate offerings (OPM, Wealth Advisory and Asset advisory). Advisory Products enables the integration of the best of UBS global approach and infrastructure that is relevant, into the local market to meet client needs and contributes to infrastructure development e.g. IT systems, delivery tools. This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the process management of core investments from a Strategical asset application Tactical asset application perspective
- Build portfolio’s in all asset classes (Cash, FI, Equities, Int’l equities, REITs, Alternatives), leveraging the other functional area’s product and security recommendations
- Run various core portfolio’s in all asset classes
- Participate in overall investment strategy and decisions as a guest of the local Investment Committee
- With guidance of Analysts, assist with the Co-ordination of Global CIO Research RBA themes
- Work with broader IPS Aust team/peers, particularly CM, IM and IP for securities and product selection
- Work with broader APAC peers in Advisory Products
- Full participation and support to the weekly investment meeting
- Responsible for communicating the Global Investment Strategy in Australia in conjunction with the Wealth Management Head of Investment Strategy.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years Investment management or economist experience with a fund group, wealth manager, investment consultant or research house
- University Degree required, CFA beneficial
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly proficient with Excel / Bloomberg / spread sheet modelling
- Ability to participate in client meetings and events
