Investment Analyst for European Special Situations and Distressed Debt Hedge Fund based in London recruitment
Concentrating on the European Special Situations and Distressed opportunities space, our client draws on its own primary research and extensive network of local experts to gain a competitive advantage and unlock new investment opportunities across the capital structure. This approach, along with the leadership of a well-respected and industry-leading portfolio manager, has met with great success: no down years since inception and a considerable increase in AUM resulting from its impressive performance in 2008.
You will be responsible for carrying out financial research and analysis, taking a fundamental, bottom up and in depth approach to research, analysing potential investments and carrying out detailed financial modeling. In addition you will conduct deep due-diligence prior to investing. You will work closely with experienced senior investment professionals and will frequently act on their behalf, attending conferences and meeting with companies.
Profile:
- 2-5 years’ current Restructuring, Leverage Finance or MA experience with first class modeling skills, or 1-5 years’ buy side experience.
- Possess deep and robust research skills as well as an understanding of industry and market drivers.
- Be highly motivated and curious, especially regarding the fundamentals of how businesses work.
- Be sharp, ambitious and highly rated internally.
- Possess excellent academics.
- Be a committed and flexible team player with an attention to detail.
- Be currently based in the UK.
