Investment Analyst – Investment Consulting recruitment

We currently have an opportunity for an Investment Analyst to join a specialist team with in the Investment Consulting line of business which focuses on growing and broadening our client base from the traditional base of pension funds into Sovereign Wealth Funds, State-based Pension Funds, Endowments, Foundations and Charities. The work involves strategic and tactical portfolio construction advise, modelling and paramaterising economic and market scenarios and testing portfolios against those outcomes. This role will be based in Hong Kong with some travel requirements to Singapore.
Reporting to Head of Portfolio Advisory – Asia Pacific, responsibilities encompass both direct client interface and support and being a technical resource and support for various projects. Duties will include:
- Interfacing with clients on project and advisory work with other team members to build and deliver client deliverables
- Technical resource and support for a range of asset modelling projects utilizing technical modelling techniques and approach.
You will have a relevant Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Actuarial Studies with at least 2 -3 years experience in an investments/finance/quant role - quantitatively focused experience would be desirable. In addition you must have knowledge of probability distribution, statistics, general time series modelling and models for asset class returns and proficiency in coding in Excel and Matlab. Excellent English communication (written and verbal), problem solving and organisational skills are also required.
