Vice President, Corporate Finance, Spain recruitment

Location: Madrid

Bankers at the Vice President level will often be asked to take a leading role on transactions alongside a Director or MD. They will also take responsibility for the Analyst and Associate management and development.

In this role you will work to deliver the following:

For origination purposes:

• Identify, monitor and interpret developments / trends in the relevant region and their impact on the client base of the bank

• Interpret and formulate the rationale, structure and financial aspects of prospective transactions in MA and ECM

• Assist in identifying needs of the clients and develop solutions in response to those needs

• Prepares and maintains client information. Retrieves, selects, interprets and analyses client data as required

• Prepare materials for client and internal presentations and takes care of follow up actions

For execution purposes:

• Act as a main daily point-person on a transaction execution process, co-ordinating for the client the valuation, due diligence, legal, accounting, regulatory and other necessary workstreams as the transaction demands, to ensure the transaction is proceeding according to plan

• Be able to lead individual workstreams (e.g. valuation, due diligence, etc) where so required

• Attend client meetings and presentations where appropriate

• Liaise with colleagues across the Bank and with external clients or advisers to ensure a smooth transaction execution process and seamless delivery from across the RBS product range, where relevant

To succeed, you will need to demonstrate:

• Thorough financial analysis training at a reputable investment bank, strategy consultancy or accounting firm

• Experience in deal origination: helping generate ideas, writing presentations and handling client follow up

• Experience in the execution of transactions with thorough understanding of structural, financial and regional related aspects of the deal execution

• Sufficient knowledge of compliance, RBS Business principles and corporate values, key applicable laws, rules and regulations

• Fluent English and Spanish

• Willingness to relocate to Madrid

Fluency in Portuguese would also be an advantage.
