Investment Banking Associate-Restructuring

We are looking for Associates to join our Restructuring Investment Banking teams in our New York office.

 

Associates’ responsibilities include:

(i) developing client proposals and work with engaged clients on their transactions

(ii) conducting company analysis from a financial, operational and industry perspective

(iii) drafting offering memorandum and manage the internal deal process

(iv) Working directly with Senior bankers and managing the Analyst work product.

Oppenheimer provides Associates with a high level of responsibility and extensive access to senior management and clients.  Associate can expect to be involved in a variety of transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization and restructuring assignments.  Transaction teams at Oppenheimer are typically small in size, providing Associates with opportunity to play a significant role in the deal handling the day-to-day activities and overseeing the Analyst work product.

Successful candidates will have either a MBA degree from a leading university, preferably with a major in finance or accounting or prior work experience as an Investment Banking Analyst.  A previous background Restructuring is preferred.  Successful candidates will be smart, with particularly strong quantitative, writing and interpersonal skills. Candidates need to be comfortable working in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. We take a very team-oriented approach to investment banking, and focus on chemistry in our hiring process.  Candidates should hold their Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
