The Role
The Core Business group in New York is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to be a part of our Investment Banking and Corporate team. This individual will be part of an exciting business unit at the heart of the Bloomberg Professional Terminal.

Applicants should possess a deep body of knowledge and a strong background in investment banking. A core understanding of equity and fixed income markets is an important background. This role will encompass new product creation as well as extensive project management and client engagement. The role requires extensive cross-product collaboration and will work closely with sales, research development and global data as well as with the other Core Business teams.

Responsibilities:
-Identify user needs, user workflow and unmet customer needs in the Investment Banking and Corporate arenas.
-Design business and functional requirements for development projects to meet user needs and workflow.
-Identify critical financial data sets
-Manage large client engagement assignments for enterprise level sales
-Conduct business planning, budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications:
-Previous experience working in the investment banking (or capital markets) industry. Consulting experience is a plus.
-Bachelors degree (Business Degree) as well as a CFA designation (a plus) or equivalent work
experience.
-Proven ability to communicate effectively with a sales force and large customer base.
-Strong financial market knowledge and industry contacts.
-Project and business management experience.
-Ability to work with multiple groups across reporting lines.
-Excellent organizational, and presentation skills.
-Bloomberg terminal experience would be an advantage.
-Successful candidate must be willing to travel.
