Investment Governance Analyst
Banking Financial Services is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Investment Governance Analyst. Reporting to the Head of the Investment Governance Team, you will work directly with key stakeholders of the Wrap business to assist with matters of investment governance and the administration of the funds and investments on the Wrap Investment Platforms.
You will be working closely with the Investment Governance Officer and Investment Specialists in coordinating the execution of the Investment Governance Framework, including upfront investment option due diligence and ongoing analysis and monitoring.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the administration of the Investment Governance Team's activities is effective and efficient.
More about the role:
- Managing the execution of the Investment Governance Framework;
- Identifying managed investment actions that warrant review and conducting follow up actions for any due diligence activities;
- Acting as a key point of contact for managed investment related queries from external clients and the business;
- Maintain strong relationships with internal clients and other internal teams, including the Service and Operations teams and Wrap Product Management
- Work closely with the team to ensure the application of the Wrap investment governance framework
- Ensuring timely compliance with the Investment Governance Team's activity calendar;
- Maintenance and prioritization of Investment Governance Team's issues log;
- Executing and/or overseeing the execution of Investment Governance follow up action protocols;
- Leveraging Investment Governance capabilities for client, adviser and business insights;
- Assist projects relating to the governance and administration of the Wrap platform investment menu;
- Review the communications to Product Issuers, Advisers and Investors on issues relating to managed investments;
- Review the preparation and creation of reports to Product Issuers and internal clients;
- Coordinating general administration relating to all managed investments represented on Wrap's menus;
- Oversee and review the preparation and publication of Investment Menus, the issuing of annual Platform Fee invoices and the processing of fees and fee rebates for both Macquarie and our Outsource providers.
About you:
- Strong tertiary qualifications or undertaking study in Finance or Economics;
- Managed investment knowledge and experience in the financial services industry;
- Strong relationship building and maintenance skills, ability to gain buy-in, trust and understanding, to influence and negotiate, be highly visible and to provide transparency of process to clients and team;
- The ability to effectively prioritize, manage deadlines and understand new ideas and concepts quickly;
- Ability to produce high quality deliverables for different audiences;
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and spreadsheet skills;
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team of specialists;
- An enthusiastic, self-motivated, tenacious and proactive person;
- Excellent written and communication skills.
