Investment Grade Credit Trader
Background:
Working within a dynamic multi-asset Trading team, the primary role will be a Credit Trader capable of trading Investment Grade Credit, single name CDS, Indices and Rates.
The role will also require a flexible-working pattern as dictated by business volume. The candidate will be proactive, analytical and willing and able to add value to the investment process above and beyond execution.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Dealing in, a wide range of fixed income products, including cash bonds, derivatives, and rates in compliance with client, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Undertaking market-related research including up-to-date knowledge of all relevant technical, regulatory and compliance issues.
- Monitoring trades to ensure “best execution” at all times, and timely settlement of all trades. Analysing subsequent trading data to optimise investment outcomes.
- Developing close working relationship with all fund mangers and understanding their specific requirements/objectives.
- Encourage the use of alternative execution means to help achieve best execution/ efficiency.
- Assist with on going IT developments incorporating spreadsheet and macros.
- Developing and maintaining good working relationship with counterparties, consistent with the highest standard of professionalism and service.
- Administration and reporting of trades in accordance with company rules and procedures. Adhering to company risk controls and counterparty limits.
- Assist in other markets as required.
