Job Description
An independent financial institution/asset management firm investing in private debt and equity, with focus on mid-market companies in Europe (UK, Scandinavia, France Italy) is looking for a motivated Investment Manager whose primary responsibilities will include:
• To work closely with other members of the team to originate and structure new investment opportunities and to contribute significantly to the management and development of the portfolio companies.
• In particular the resource will:
i. Lead evaluation of financial and business due diligence to determine risk /reward profiles of the investment opportunities
ii. Present investment opportunities to the firm’s investment committee
iii. Run creation and assessment of complex financial models
iv. Monitor existing investments by analyzing and reporting on portfolio companies financial results
v. Supervise and develop junior investment professionals
Requirements
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in banking and transaction services, including accounting and corporate finance, with strong accent on leverage finance and principal investment experience (i.e. Senior and Subordinated Loans, Private Equity). Work experience abroad will be held in high regard
• Direct experience in structuring debt transactions and related legal issues, including as a bank lender
• Significant experience performing complex financial analysis, modeling, and company valuations, including discounted cash flow and comparable company analyses
• Ability to conduct industry research, articulate opinions and present clear and concise memoranda on investment opportunities
• Outstanding academic record
• Strong written and oral communications skills in Italian and English (knowledge of an additional European language is a plus)
• A team-oriented approach and an ability to interact productively within a small company environment
• Candidate must have a strong work ethic, professional demeanor and appearance, strong commitment and interest in developing its career in a growing enterprise.
Compensation
• Compensation will be based on experience and performance achieved in the medium/long term.
