Aequitas – Allianz Equity Advisors is a business unit of Allianz Global Investors. Our team of some 20 Investment Managers has specialized in the active management of European equity portfolios in which we implement a sustainable, long-term investment strategy for Allianz Group companies only.
You are selecting, analyzing and monitoring publicly listed predominantly European equities thus providing us with key input for our investment decisions. In doing so, you focus on the selection and analysis of companies
- that demonstrate a competitive market position with a solid business model and
- that offer a reasonable valuation upside.
Key Responsibilities
- Identification and development of new investment ideas for our portfolios
- Thorough fundamental analysis and evaluation of listed stocks, including assessment of the market environment, the competitors, the company strategy and future developments
- Development of convincing investment recommendations as major input for portfolio construction
- Intensive discussions about business and investment cases with fellow investment managers, companies, market experts and brokers
Qualifications
- Strong academic background with top quartile university degree in finance related areas
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of capital markets
- Advanced knowledge in the interpretation of financial data, such as annual reports, macroeconomics, etc
- Theoretical and work-related know-how in equity valuation
- Competence in working with market data tools such as Thomson Reuters and/or Datastream
- Good communication skills, fluent written and spoken English, German would be an advantage
- High level of initiative and motivation
- Ability to work independently
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in equity research on the buy or sell side or superior achievements in related functions
