Investment Officer II – 8530/JH recruitment

Working under the direction of the Portfolio Manager (PM) of Risk Management (RM), the Investment Officer II (IO II) performs duties within the following areas:

Risk Analytics

Investment Monitoring

Portfolio Risk Management

The Investment Officer II specializes in the analyses of relative value of investment grade and high yield bond investments. The incumbent also conducts analyses and research of domestic fixed income securities in order to formulate investment recommendations and asset allocation strategies.

Investment Officer (IO) II Minimum qualifications (MQs)

• Equivalent to graduation from college preferably with major work in business administration, economics, finance, mathematics, or a closely related field

AND

• Three years of increasingly responsible investment analysis experience for a public agency or private financial institution, insurance company, pension fund, endowment fund, investment firm, real estate development and investment firm, or other private corporation or entity having a major investment management program

Desirable Qualifications:
• MBA or another advanced technical degree and/or a CFA, FRM, PRM, CIMA, CAIA charter
• Direct experience with a range of risk models and metrics, and their practical applications
• Direct experience with pension risk issues and resolving them
• Direct experience in asset management, investment consulting, risk analytics, or a broker/dealer
• Familiarity with global equity, fixed income, commodities and derivatives market conventions and trading
• Familiarity with derivatives/securities modeling and fundamental analysis
