Investment Operations Specialist recruitment
The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks related to trade support, security set up, pre-trade compliance and account reconciliation as well as other investment-related processes. The successful candidate will support the traders, Portfolio Managers and client service personnel covering a wide range of products. The successful candidate will also be responsible for communicating with the head office on any process changes, issues and new technology.
Activities might include but are not limited to:
• Gathering and checking trade confirms
• Calculating performance returns
• Liaising with counterparties on trade discrepancies
• Verifying security data in trading systems
• Assisting in pre-trade compliance monitoring
• Assisting in cash and security reconciliations as necessary
• Preparing client reports
• Assisting in answering questions from clients
• Updating process documents
• Working with head office to improve support to London-based investment functions

Skills experience required:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent (Business or Economics degree preferable). Interest in financial services.
• Proficiency in the following systems: Charles River Investment Management System, Portia, Portia CashRecon, BBH Infomediary, TLM and CATS.
• Experience in a similar role and experience in working in a multi-national environment across different time zones.
• High level of numeracy, organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to create basic macros.
• Ability to understand complex issues/processes and make sound judgements.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize workload.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• A high degree of professionalism and commitment to work in a high pressure environment is essential.
