Position Description: Wells Capital Managements Heritage Growth team is seeking an Associate Investment Product Specialist. This position is based in Menomonee Falls, WI. Associate Product Specialist serves as an extension of the Investment Product Specialist with a focus on supporting internal and external customers by coordinating and participating in client service projects. The successful candidate must be effective at working closely with portfolio staff, product specialist, consultant team and other investment professionals while demonstrating a very strong understanding and knowledge of the Heritage Growth products and services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Considerable coordination of team activities and material preparation will be required with the investment professionals, consultants and relationship sales teams to effectively service our mutual clients and build new business. - Responding to ad-hoc requests from investment professionals for information on investment products. - Acting as office based back-up to product specialist and investment professionals as their roles involve considerable travel. - Assisting and coordinating with periodic market commentary and marketing materials, ensure that client reporting needs are being met. - Contributing to group efforts; providing clients, prospects and consultants with updates regarding the investment philosophy, process and performance of portfolios. - Collaboratively work across the organization in a team environment. - Demonstrating sound decision making and strategic thinking with reflects an understanding of businesses and its priorities. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years investment management experience. Minimum Qualifications: - Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through oral and written communication skills. - Ability to demonstrate organization skills, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Independent, entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for financial services and ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment. - Outstanding, flexible team player with ability to work through multiple business channels. - Background in financial services. - Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced dynamic environment and has the ability to take ownership of projects. Preferred Skills: - BS/BA degree. - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills with a thorough understanding of PowerPoint.
