Investment Risk Business Analyst recruitment
A leading Asset management organisation is keen to speak to Investment Risk Business Analysts for a large Global Transformation Program.
Overview of role
Business Analyst interacting with all levels of the business to analyse, understand and document Investment requirements across all asset classes and support all stages of the change or project lifecycle.
- Analyse and document Investment requirements, processes and all related documents and test plans
- Ability to translate user requirements into viable operational and technical solutions and interpret technical issues to non technical persons
- Develop a close working relationship with Risk and Investment business stakeholders in order to determine functionality gaps and enhancement requirements
- Perform in an environment where multi-tasking, constant problem resolution and lateral thinking is the standard
Specific Duties
1. Provide business analysis support to ensure effective delivery (as measured by time, cost and quality) of agreed change/projects, covering activities such as:
- - Impact assessment of changes
- - Analysis and documentation of requirements
- - Identification and analysis of solutions
- - Design and management of the implementation of process and organisational changes
- - Cost/benefit analysis of solutions and approaches
- - Business solution recommendations
Where relevant, develop plans to deliver solutions or changes to the business and manage the resultant work streams/projects/initiatives, assigning tasks and tracking progress to ensure the delivery of the required business benefits, according to agreed timescales, budgets and resource levels.
2. Contribute to the global BA community and the development and deployment of analysis best practice, tools and methods.
3. Develop effective relationships with regional stakeholders including portfolio managers and dealers
4. Work together with other global business analysts on larger scale projects.
Essential Skills
- At least 5 years of working experience as a Business Analyst in the financial industry in the Investment Risk space
- Solid understand of the Investment Risk and front to back data and system flows
- Understanding of financial markets, Investment risk management processes and the instruments used within e.g. equities, fixed income, multi-asset solutions, derivatives (OTC and ETD) and FX
- Understanding of front office business processes: portfolio management, modelling, order generation, dealing and performance and attribution
- Knowledge of the following systems a plus: Investment Risk Systems or Order Management Systems
- We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and presentation skills, who are able to engage effectively with front office personnel at senior levels. Lateral thinkers who are keen, motivated and ambitious will be a good fit to our existing team.
- Has the ability to communicate very detailed and complex concepts and ideas both verbally and in writing in a concise and clear manner to others within the organisation.
