Investment Strategist recruitment

The Investment Strategy Group sits within the Private Wealth Management. The Group seeks investment opportunities across global markets and asset classes with a view to preserving and growing clients’ wealth. The group utilizes internal and external resources of Goldman Sachs and seeks to deliver objective, strategic and tactical investment advice.

The role currently available within ISG is to work on the tactical team. The tactical team focus on in-depth research and analysis of current economic and market trends to generate investment recommendations. The Associate will help shape the Group's macro views on developed economies. The position also involves contributing to investment ideas in developed markets. The position would suit a macroeconomist who wants to transition to investment management well. 

Principal Responsibilities:
•Analyze macroeconomic trends in develop markets.
•Suggest associated investment ideas.
•Update and maintain team datasets and help to prepare responses to special requests.
•Assist in the preparation of materials for dissemination to PWM Investment Professionals and clients.

Experience required

•Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in macroeconomic analysis, ideally on developed markets
•Masters degree in Economics or Finance
•Fluency in another European languages a plus (especially Spanish or Portuguese)
•Strong knowledge of Excel; knowledge of Bloomberg and/or Datastream a plus
•Orientation to detail and commitment to excellence
•Strong team playing, interpersonal and communication skills
