Investment Strategy Manager recruitment
Your responsibilities will include:
Investment strategy
- Monitor global financial markets and economies; assist with the development of analytical framework, including the writing of reports and scenario planning
- Help develop asset allocation views and produce investment proposals within multi-asset framework; contribute to asset allocation discussions
- Use ALM modelling and other tools in order to provide advice on setting investment strategy
- Liaise with external providers (such as investment banks and consultants) as required to collate investment views and asset class valuations
Data management
- Responsible for overseeing large databases prepared and maintained by the Investment Strategy Analyst for internal documents and presentations. This will include review of both economic/market data and asset-liability model output for Section strategy
- To identify and recommend improvements to internal processes, systems, resources and procedures used to formulate investment strategy recommendations
- Review and check all analysis prepared by Investment Strategy Analyst for use in reports
Working with other departments
- Liaise with other departments on investment strategy issues including Client Investment Services, Implementation, Risk and Pensions Policy Teams.
- Provide any data or other inputs as necessary with assistance from Investment Strategy Analyst.
- Work with the Scheme Actuary, where necessary, in order to facilitate development of Section strategy and other projects
In addition to having knowledge of the Investment issues relevant to Institutional Pension Funds, suitable candidates will have gained experience in a consultancy, fund manager or investment bank and have a detailed understanding of asset allocation, preferably in a multi-asset class context.
