Investor Relations / Capital Raiser
Description of the Role:
Professionals at the level of vice president through to managing director are being considered for this role. Interested candidates should have past experience in an investment banking or transactional environment and should have an entrepreneurial drive to build out Glenfarne’s investor and capital network. This individual will work closely with the Managing Partner and possess the ability to develop and maintain a methodical approach in managing investor relations and raising capital.
We are a nimble and dynamic team and the suitable candidate will play a critical role during this formative phase of our business - establishing and expanding the Firm’s investor client base for our infrastructure and real asset investments, as well as ensuring excellent communications and relationships with new and existing investors. The candidate will have the opportunity to take a leading role in developing and executing a business plan with a growing firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new investor opportunities, including direct as well as indirect through intermediaries with unique connectivity to investors
- Develop an Institutional approach to the communication of the Firm’s asset management methodology
- Development of methodical investor relations practices
- Maintain and update investor relations databases and investor reports
- Oversee the enhancement and strategy of the Firm’s online investor portal
Key Experience or Skills Required:
- 5-10 years of work experience in an investment banking / capital raising role or similar
- Real transactional experience is preferred as opposed to pure investor relations experience
- Demonstrated progression through the ranks at one, or more institution including investment banking, private equity, or other types of investments firms where the day-to-day responsibilities included transactional as well as capital raising initiatives
- Experience in communicating with investors, preparing materials for management meetings, shareholder meetings or roadshow presentations
- Exposure to and / or desire to learn alternative capital raising channels including structures for working with intermediaries, feeder fund platforms, and third party capital introduction firms
- Experience working in the real assets and infrastructure space is preferred, though not essential
