About the role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity within Sage Group based in our Newcastle office for an Investor Relations Manager. The role reports to the Director of Investor Relations.

The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for providing support to the Director of Investor Relations in all areas of IR including managing the relationship with sell-side analysts and developing materials to support the investment case.

Key skills and experience:

• Financially literate, with relevant financial qualifications or demonstrable equivalent experience (e.g. CFA/ACA/CPA/CIMA)

• Sector background beneficial but not essential

• Demonstrable ability to understand, analyse and articulate financial data

• Highly analytical with strong creative problem solving skills

• Strong project management skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written where attention to detail is essential

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and external stakeholders

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular good Excel and PowerPoint skills

• An interest in stock market activity and company strategy, and the ability to understand the technology industry

• A flexible approach is required, particularly during peak demands around half yearly and annual results, as is a willingness to travel

• A confident self-starter who is well organised, strategic and able to deliver on deadline

• Applicants will be able to demonstrate applied knowledge and experience in a finance role

• Direct stock market experience whilst advantageous, is not essential
