No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description A successful candidate for this Patent Prosecution Professional position will be a member of the US Patent Office Bar and possess superior global patent preparation and prosecution skills and abilities. This position seeks a candidate with demonstrated leadership abilities, subject matter expert knowledge, and an ability to independently develop and manage global patent portfolio as well as provide guidance to less experienced team members. The successful candidate will support the development of Boeing's global patent portfolio particularly in the areas of aerospace product design, development, engineering, manufacturing and operation. Familiarity with aerospace materials is a plus. Boeing Patent Prosecution Professionals manage Boeing's patent procurement work and transact Boeing patent procurement business with patent offices throughout the world in accordance with a defined Boeing process either directly or through outside counsel. Patent Professionals also work with other members of the Boeing intellectual property staff and business unit representatives to identify inventions and efficiently develop a kernel of an invention into a properly supported patent application. Patent Professionals also participate in periodic reviews such as maintenance fee payment reviews and work special projects with other members of the patent staff and business unit representatives. This posting seeks a person with at least 4 or more years of hands-on patent preparation and prosecution or equivalent experiences desired.
