The Department:
The EMEA Network Engineering department designs Voice solutions for our internal clients covering some 40,000 users in 50 countries in EMEA. The team also develops new standards such as branch and Campus standards. In addition to this, the team are responsible for ensuring that the EMEA Voice Network is designed so that it is a reliable, efficient network to support the business. The successful candidate would be responsible for:
- Delivering designs for the Voice stream of new requests both from the business and from internal requests to optimise or improve the Voice infrastructure.
- Putting together design documentation which would include diagrams, the Voice equipment needed and the Voice device configurations to support the project
- Liaison and collaborate with Project Managers, other streams on the project, business, Voice Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the requirements are fully understood and the best design solution is engineered.
The EMEA Voice Engineering teams are based in Belfast, London, Budapest and Warsaw. Due to supporting a large geographical area, all of EMEA, you will be working frequently with staff in these sites as well as in other sites in EMEA to deliver Voice designs.
The Technologies:
- Detailed experience in Telecommunications solution deployment, with a proven record of IP Telephony solution design in a geographically distributed environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Avaya PBX components including ACM, ASM/ASP, MM/MN, One-X IP handsets and softphone clients, etc.
- Strong knowledge of IPC trading floor systems - Alliance V15+ and IPVR.
- Good working knowledge of Cisco PBX components including Publisher, Subscribers, Unity, IP handsets and softphone clients, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of Nice Voice Recording Solutions and their deployment best practices
- In-depth knowledge of SBCs (session border controllers), preferred Acme Packet
- In-depth knowledge of VoIP standards (SIP - SIPINFO, RFC2833, etc. and H.323 - Q.931, H.245, etc.)
- Windows administration and UNIX shell knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, QoS, ACLs a plus
- Experience of having responsibility for delivering complex IPT solutions integrated to voice recording solutions
- Practical experience of solution deployments involving contact centre solutions including Cisco ICM, Avaya ACD and IVR, Aspect Dialers.

The successful candidate will need to be a hands-on self-starter, capable of working with others in different regions as well as those on the ground in Belfast.

Essential Criteria:
- Avaya Certified Specialist.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- (CCNP, CCVP or CCIE certificates a plus; skill/experience should be commensurate with CCNA certification level. CCVP preferred).
- Familiarity with the following platforms a significant plus: Nice, CyberTech, Cisco ICM, Avaya Voice Portal, Aspect Dialer, IPC.
