IS Data Architect / Developer Job in Bradford, Yorkshire Uk

This is a permanent role, contracted hours: 37.5 per week, based at Cape Street, Bradford with occasional travel to other locations.
Reporting to the IS Software Solutions Team Manager the role will be split into 2 parts. As a Data Architect you will be responsible for the data structures and sources within the organisations databases and providing a route to this data whenever required.
As an application developer you will be responsible for the development maintenance of a number of internally developed applications, among these are an Overtime system, a Property Locator system a Petty Cash system an Internal Phonebook system.
You will also provide assistance to Application Support Analysts who look after the Core systems which include Finance, Care, Housing, Property and MI.
Experienced application developers will engage with our business and operations colleagues to continuously improve our applications and processes that underpin the delivery of our services to the elderly.

Technical requirements
1. Strong technical knowledge of:
a. Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (C#)
b. Microsoft .Net framework v4.0+ (preferably including exposure to Silverlight)
c. Microsoft SQL Server 2008

2. Experience of software development best practice using formal methods (preferably DSDM / MSF).

3. Full understanding of object-oriented development.

4. Experience of Data Modelling

The following is a list of technical and professional responsibilities and requirements:

1. Develop a Data Strategy with associated policies for the organisation.

2. Create a data dictionary to assist in the source of any data within the organisation.

3. Support the provision of master data across applications.

4. Design and create new application and database solutions which promote business process improvement This will require a strong technical understanding of Anchor's existing information systems to improve system integration.

5. Technical development and implementation of Anchor application and data systems.

6. Adherence to departmental application and information standards and policies.

7. Delivery of robust systems that are fit for purpose and match the business objectives and priorities.

8. Ensure that requests for changes or other ad-hoc requirements are dealt with within agreed times and to the customer's satisfaction.
