ISDA Negotiator – Legal Master Agreements recruitment
London is an important centre for global English law documentation. The successful candidates will report to the London Head of Master Agreements who has responsibility for English law governed documentation globally under the responsibility of the Global Head of Master Agreements, also based in London.
Main responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of ISDAs and related agreements (e.g. CSAs) and other master documentation based on approved forms
- Negotiate master agreements with counterparties in compliance with the Bank’s global standards
- Liaise with the Bank’s relevant business lines and external counterparties and provide status updates as required
- Take responsibility for a range of issues relating to the legal and operational aspects of derivatives products
Specific context
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
(i) suitable experience in negotiating ISDAs and other Master Agreements;
(ii) sound knowledge in the technical aspects of ISDA documentation
(iii) some experience and/or some actual knowledge of investment funds
(iv) suitability for, and track record in, working in a team
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
- University Graduate, or equivalent
- English qualified, law degree or strong interest in law
Languages
- Fluent English, scope to use French language
Technical skills
- Strong teamworking and collaboration skills
- Ability to monitor own workload and meet work objectives
- Self-motivation
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Excel and Lotus Notes
