We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our ISS Corporate Services team in Tokyo.

ISS Corporate Services understands corporate governance. Since 1997, corporate issuers have leveraged our expertise in executive compensation, governance ratings, capital structure, sustainability, voting trends and corporate governance research to build shareholder value through strong governance programs. Our global client base extends to more than 1,200 companies each year located in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Europe and Asia, as well as other established and emerging markets worldwide. These industry leaders leverage ISS Corporate Services' resources, tools and advisory services to help them design, manage and measure their corporate governance programs in order to improve shareholder value and reduce risk. We partner with compensation consultants, law firms, and solicitors to help corporate issuers with their corporate governance needs and have strategic alliances with top consulting firms to help our partners and their client model executive compensation, review shareholder rights plans and review changes in capital structure.
ISS Corporate Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of MSCI, Inc. and is headquartered in Rockville, MD. In addition, we have offices in Toronto and London.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sells full suite of ICS products and services mainly in Japan but also in APAC to public companies and consulting/IR firms
- Develop partnerships in the Japanese market for third-party distribution channels to provide additional exposure to public companies
- Achieves annual sales goals of $500k US or more in revenue.
- Maintain existing renewable book of business in the region
- Partner with Advisory Team and other groups to ensure clients are handled in a responsive, professional and informative manner and that services are continuously enhanced to meet market needs.
- Proficient in selling both “off the shelf” and custom solutions.
- Demonstrates web-based products to prospects and clients.
- Ensures client understands corporate governance and ESG solutions.
- Initial training period to be determined and conducted in Rockville, MD and/or London, UK office
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Superior analytical, verbal and written skills
- Able to work independently or as part of team
- Advanced computer skills
- Highest business- and cultural- ethical standard
- Reasonable knowledge in corporate governance, investor relations, accounting and finance
- MBA degree at top tier university preferred
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, related study or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years in sales and marketing in the financial corporate or consulting area.
- Experience in computer systems, Microsoft Office Suite, SalesForce.com (or other CRM) and other software related programs.
