IST Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager
You'll have a background in firm-wide risk areas (ideally stress testing or economic capital) and experience with regulatory policy and reporting. This role is offered for on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The FiRST programme launched late 2010 aiming to transform the Group Finance, risk and treasury systems to enable the bank to meet the significant challenges the industry faces in meeting statutory obligations. This will result in timely, accurate and informed decisions in our markets, and to manage our asset and liability positions efficiently and effectively. FiRST is one of the largest and most ambitious transformation programmes in the financial services industry. And is expected to be delivered over three years through a series of major releases with each release representing a large scale business change event for RBS.
FiRST risk is a work stream delivering strategic business and technical architecture to support the bank’s appetite to achieve AA grade status. The defining requirement is for a common technical architecture across risk, finance and treasury verticals within the bank. FiRST IST and EC teams work on strategic and tactical milestones in line with FiRST target architecture, to enhance current and future capabilities that support business decision making. The work is being performed in parallel with the risk transformation within the bank and there are multiple touch-points with finance and treasury across the programme.
As an IST Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager you'll design and develop customised reporting solutions across internal / external (FSA, EBA, IMF, ICAAP, ILAA, ratings agencies) stress testing data requirements. You’ll review stress process and document requirements for FDSF (projections) and document risk analytics and MI requirements for IST. Defining requirements and design, you'll deliver an interim data sourcing solution for various new data sources into the economic capital model. And you'll interact with the delivery team to ensure the capability is delivered to expectations.
To succeed as an IST Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager you'll have experience with regulatory policy and reporting. Ideally you will have business and data analysis experience gained within credit / market / operational risk environments. As well as a strong functional / business experience in risk reporting disciplines. A broad understanding of banking products including: retail, corporate and financial markets would also be beneficial with the ability to understand quantitative / complex issues and track them to resolution. Experience of risk transformation (IT business) and business process design / re-engineering is highly advantageous.
