IT Commercial Manager
Purpose of this job
The job holder’s responsibility lies within Business Information Support Services, with the main purpose of providing financial and commercial management for the IT Organisation (2013 budget: €30 million).
Accountabilities
- Providing the IT team with financial insight into actual spend vs. budget and outstanding commitments
- Working closely with the IT Lead Team, track costs for major projects over multiple years
- Running the IT budget process including IT Outsource costs, internal costs and project spend for the coming year
- Working as part of the IT Lead Team, develop the investment roadmap for IT and incorporate into the Group’s Business Plana
- Ensuring IT Outsource invoices are appropriately validated back to source management information and identify trends and cost savings opportunities
- Working closely with the HO procurement team to ensure that the IT Outsource partner is managed in line with Group supplier management policies
- Taking a pivotal role in any future RfP for the IT Outsource contract
- Working across the organisation with key site stakeholders i.e. Financial controllers, site IT and procurement teams
- Providing financial support for the business teams in terms of mining of financial data and support for cost reduction initiatives
- Providing Net Present Value (NPV) analysis to business opportunities to ensure that cash based analysis is provided for decision making for IT projects
- Undertaking ad hoc projects as required to support the wider IT and procurement organisations
- Providing financial support for company Joint Venture through the review of future commercial arrangements with shareholders and monitoring its significant restructuring programme
Ad-Hoc
To support the Director BISS by, inter alia:-
- Information requests from the business
- If the business requires, the management of additional internal and external resources for business information and support services.
Job requirements
Vocational qualifications
- Degree level education in a finance/business related subject
- Commercial experience in working with IT Outsource partner over a multi sites environment
- Preferably qualified by a recognised accounting body

Experience needed
- Minimum 7 years of industry experience at both Group Operational levels (preferably within an IT environment)
