IT Delivery Manager / Project Manager – Workflow recruitment
Position Description:
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for an Agile focussed IT Delivery Manager to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of an IT Delivery Manager, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
The business have initiated a Conflicts Re-engineering programme which will focus on improving Regulatory Risk controls, with particular focus on:-
- Conflicts Management
- Gifts and Entertainment
- Outside Business Interests
- Personal Account Dealing
The need for an IT Delivery manager has been identified who will be responsible for the technology deliverables for the overarching programme project plan. The resource will also be the primary Technology contact for the Global Control Room.
This resource will be required to work closely with the Regulatory Risk Change function, the business and other technology teams (both application development and infrastructure) to ensure delivery of IT commitments to the overall delivery plan.
***Proven record of delivery of workflow systems (iProcess, jBPM etc) essential as well as experience of Agile software development methodology ***
Main focus:
- Responsible for the delivery of IT components within the Conflicts Re-Engineering Programme.
- Responsible for providing the current state technology architecture
- Contribute to the technical assessment of the existing Conflicts Management System and architecture
- Responsible for the definition of the target state technology architecture (logical and physical), and for securing the associated sign-offs from the various architecture boards
- Responsible for the technology pre-requisites for delivery i.e. business requirements, functional specifications
- Review of the business requirements to define the key technical delivery tasks and resourcing needs
- Responsible for analysis and design, build, Unit testing, SIT testing, performance testing, volume / destructive testing, supporting UAT, implementation, implementation planning, warranty planning and IT Quality Assurance
- People management responsibilities for globally distributed development and IT testing resources
- Responsible for ensuring the applications achieves the required pre-requites for go live e.g. Licence to Operate (LTO)
- Work with Regulatory Risk Change to agree project phasing and associated scope
- Detailed planning, resourcing and active tracking for the technology workstack.
- Ensuring that the IT plan is embedded within the overarching programme plan correctly
- Managing RAID for the technology workstack - Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies
- Business stakeholder communication and expectation management
- Help to establish the operating model between the business, Regulatory Risk Change as well as other technology teams as appropriate
- Provide detailed IT status/ financial reporting to governance bodies such as Programme Control Committees / Boards
- Represent change at the Change Control Boards
- Participate in Project Prioritisation within the Conflicts Re-engineering Programme.
- Responsible for adherence to internal best practice in terms of technology delivery and project management i.e. Internal Galaxy project management methodology
- BAU / Small Change responsibility for the existing production systems for Conflicts Management, Gifts and Entertainment, Outside Business Interests and Personal Account dealing as well as responsibility for any associated audit requirements
Additional Position Details:
Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
- Experience of working within an investment banking environment or similar 'high-pressure' field.
- Experience of working within Regulatory and Operational Risk
- Experience of delivery of applications with workflow and task management components - This is mandatory and only such candidates would be a match for this role.
- Workflow technologies e.g. iProcess, jBPM
- 5 + years hands on project management experience.
- Experience of managing globally distributed technology delivery teams
- Ideally degree qualified or relevant experience.
- Strong Technical knowledge particularly .NET, Oracle
- Experience of defining logical and physical architectures
- Strong Relationship building skills essential
- Contributes to a strong collaborative working environment
- Strong written and Verbal Communication skills to key stakeholders and upper management.
- Experience of complex bespoke projects with multiple interfaces and multiple dependencies
