IT Desktop Support / Service Delivery Analyst (12 months contract) recruitment
UBS Group Technology Infrastructure Services (GTIS) technical and operational solutions provide stable, available and high performance systems, products and services in support of UBS's business requirements and continued growth.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced desktop engineer to join the End User Support (EUS) team within GTIS which is responsible for technical / desktop support services. As the EUS Service Delivery Analyst, your role in general will include fault diagnosis and resolution of desktop software, hardware and system issues, software installation and decommissioning of desktop hardware. In this role, you will be troubleshooting end user issues related to Active Directory based accounts, File and Print services, Email, BlackBerry, Network and Remote Access / VPN services.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Provide second level technical support and mentor other desktop support engineers.
- Provide leadership for the function and communicate effectively across multiple teams.
- Timely and accurate completion of work schedules requests. Manage the vendor effectively to ensure that SLA is met.
- Work in partnership with other team leads, business representatives and global team on deployment effort and process improvement
- Handle various projects and assist in resource planning for deployment.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports for various stakeholders and management
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- 5-7 years IT Desktop Support experience in a fast-paced environment like an investment bank.
- Good knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Office suites 2003/2007, Outlook and BlackBerry devices.
- Dell/HP/Lenovo hardware knowledge (PC / Laptop / Printers / Monitors)
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP network and troubleshooting
- Demonstrable experience in delivering a quality client-focused service.
- IT Degree with MCSA / MCSE qualification is highly preferred. ITIL knowledge would be useful.
