For the position of IT Environment Manager, you will be responsible for leading and/or managing a Team of Environment Analysts and coordinating with multiple teams including, but not restricted to, ITO, Engineering, Project Managers and Test Leads. Your responsibility will be to implement a Regional Environments management function operating under a global Governance Model Daily duties will cover the management and optimization, in line with Global Best Practices, of: Estate Management, Environment Build, Release Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, End to End Monitoring, Delivery of De-Personalised Data. You will be setting and monitoring the workloads, schedules, budgets and quality for all of their teams. Determining environments scope, provisions, build, configure, support and optimization process and procedures that ensure the most effective delivery of test environments to projects. The role will have extensive liaison and communication at all levels within the development life cycle. You will be responsible for establishing, and working with, multiple offshore engagements. You will contribute to set the strategy and direction for the environment management function and coordinating and implementing any testing initiatives within their functional area.
Main requirements:
- University degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Engineering or any related field
- Proven experience in a leadership role and staff (Line) management within testing or IT (with performance appraisal experience). Proven experience of establishing/managing/working with offshore engagements
- Good background in the following key areas: Estate management, Environment Build, Release Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, End to End monitoring, Delivery of De-personalised data
- Good track record of successful project management and implementation of complex programmes or projects
- Proven technical experience in an IT role with excellent working knowledge of testing process
- Extensive experience of risk management and mitigation
- Expert knowledge of multiple testing phases (i.e: Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing)
- Wide knowledge of IT hardware, software, networks, operations
- Exposure/experience to all areas the project life cycle: Systems Analysis Systems Design, Development/Programming, System/Integration Testing, Implementation, Operations/support.
- Ability to coach, mentor, develop and motivate staff to achieve high levels.
- Excellent estimating, planning, and monitoring skills
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple, complex, competing demands/workstreams successfully, to deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical environment
- Extensive knowledge of project life cycle
