IT Procurement specialist recruitment
A leading bank is keen to speak to IT Procurement specialists at an AVP level for their organization. You would be responsible for the development, documentation, implementation and maintenance of vendor, standards, and metrics taking.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with IT PM's to ensure vendor partners are effectively managed and contracts are fully leveraged, resulting in effective cost management
- Develops processes for evaluating and selecting vendors, in accordance with company guidelines and best practices.
- Coordinates and tracks annual IT cost savings resulting from VMO activities.
- Participates in vendor's strategic direction/initiatives and ensures company programs are in alignment as such.
- Ensures that each vendor meets internal criteria, according to established guidelines (e.g. documentation, quality, availability of staff, etc.), and compliance (e.g. insurance, employment requirements)
- Works with IT Management/PM's in establishing SLA and metrics dashboard including quality measurements.
- Monitors results against goals; proactively reviews dashboards to preempt issues.
- Plans and conducts formal regular (quarterly) performance reviews with each key vendor
- Drives ongoing process improvement to deliver increasing operational efficiency in all business partner processes.
- Provide management reports to IT/FBSD Mgmt.
- Supports budget planning by providing vendor-related information.
- Compiles and analyzes trends that affect budgetary needs.
