IT Project Manager – Supply Chain Connectivity Job in St. Louis, Missouri US
Job Description
The Supply Chain Connectivity Project Manager is responsible for overall program management of the Emerson Supplier Connectivity Program. The program seeks to integrate Emerson’s Supply Chain Trading Partners to electronically exchange information critical to the operations and performance of Emerson’s supply chain.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for program rollout activities, including business unit and trading partner on-boarding, project coordination, status reporting and communication to program teams and management.
• Works collaboratively with business unit and corporate Supply Chain and IT teams to define program requirements and project plans.
• Provides ongoing communication with trading partners, reviews program objectives and requirements with trading partners and business units.
• Takes a primary role in the definition and implementation of data and transaction standards required to meet business program objectives.
• Serves as a team member within multi-functional supply chain programs as assigned.
• Coordinates priorities of integration activities across programs.
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans to align with business priorities.
• Ensures project documentation is complete and maintained.
• Shares accountability for achievement of program objectives including operational and financial targets.
• Works effectively in a global highly matrixed team environment.
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Will commenserate degree for years of experience.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
• 8 to 10 years of IT experience (required), including 4 or more years managing IT projects.
• Working knowledge of EDI and XML (OAGIS) messaging concepts and practices.
• Detailed knowledge and experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite (Procurement, iSupplier XML Gateway) is preferred.
• Familiarity with common supply chain, procurement and logistics business processes and concepts.
• Ability to lead disparate teams consisting of customers, vendors, and peer organizations through informal reporting relationships.
• Exceptional customer service orientation with strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with presenting to diverse technical and non-technical audiences at all level of the organization.
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work within diverse multi-disciplinary global project teams.
• Some travel required.
