 IT Project Manager.

A key member of the Strategic Change IT Senior Team responsible for the delivery of enterprise wide technology infrastructure within a project structure.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of working within a large multi-location organisation.

Responsible for handling multiple concurrent infrastructure work streams, within a Project reporting into a Programme.

Define and oversee project scope and deliverables and establish project team structure and delivery approach: manage issues and risks.

Accountable for defining and managing project time-scales and budgets (estimating, tracking, forecasting), considering dependencies and recommending and/or taking appropriate action to overcome delays, difficulties or cost over-runs.

Deliver a project(s) in accordance with established processes, appropriate standards, practices and procedures, ensuring that they meet quality and compliance requirements (CCM).

Manage the overall design and implementation.
Develop project plans.
Provide expert decision making and resolution on critical portfolio/program issue as they relate to project scope, resource planning, methodology and deliverables across all teams and work streams.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior business partners and key stakeholders to understand and add value to the business strategies and processes.
Develops ideas and specify proposals, plans and requirements for project work, preparing and delivering reports or presentations to senior management/forums to obtain approval and sponsorship.
Leads and motivates team members, so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard.
Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement to new and existing project management processes and procedures in order to improve efficiency.
Shares knowledge, expertise and ideas with other people to provide business value across teams / projects, providing guidance and mentoring to peers or more junior staff.

Essential:
Strong leadership, management, planning, negotiating and issue resolution capabilities
Demonstrates leadership skills that provide direction, support, influence and mentoring to a core team of Work Stream leads and Infrastructure Architects
Relevant experience managing a portfolio of infrastructure projects within a large organization
Excellent communication skills with the customer and other stakeholders
Demonstrable experience of managing senior stakeholders at board level
Vendor and Supplier Management
Understanding of full infrastructure lifecycle
ITIL
Understanding infrastructure design implementation
Capable of understanding and mapping work stream inter-project dependencies, ability to identify impact and mitigate

Desirable:
Project Management certification
Financial Services Industry Experience
Minimum of 2 years Infrastructure Project Management
Industry recognised technical certifications (MCSE, CCIE, CompTIA)
Experience of large scale distributed client deployments
Experience of Virtualisation deployments (VMware, Hyper-V)
Have experience of Infrastructure Hardware Deployments (SAN, Firewall Load Balancing etc.)
