Paramount Citrus is the largest integrated grower, shipper and packer of fresh citrus in the U.S. Located in Delano, CA, we are a nimble and quick organization that can adapt to build long-term success in meeting consumer expectations.
Due to recent and projected growth our IT team is expanding. This is a new position devoted to on-going and new IT projects that will be implemented to support business growth. The IT Project Manager will be a key team player and work closely with the IT Director to managed projects as well as integrate solutions from 3rd parties and local resources such as in house software development and networking. The Project Manager must be a strong communicator and able to prioritize in a fast paced environment, able to research solutions, analyze alternatives and expected to know industry standards and alternatives in the marketplace. The IT Project Manager will be expected to build strong relationships with vendors and senior level management to effectively present information and provide cost benefit analysis of IT solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Research solutions when needed to support business growth and objectives
- Research and meet with vendors, coordinate demos and build relationships with vendors.
- Integrate solutions from different vendors and/or internal resources when approved and needed
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively and simultaneously
- Create and manage documentation to track projects
- Stay up to date on industry trends and standards, bring to the organization suggestions and thought leadership when necessary, i.e. mobile technology
- Work independently and with the IT team to execute projects
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of strong IT project management experience in a fast paced and multi-faceted environment
- Advanced knowledge of IT technologies, databases, devices, networking,telecommunications, mobile computing and cloud computing
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Previous experience in a “customer service” oriented environment
- BA degree in Computer Science or similar field preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
