About the opportunity
Businesses today face increasing information security risks as the complexity of technologies and communications continues to grow. As a security professional in our team, you will work with clients to improve the competitive advantage of their IT operations through better management of their security risks.
As a senior member of our IT Risk and Security team, you will contribute to shaping our business and will lead project teams and sales pursuits for the provision of a wide range of information security advisory services.
About you
In your role as an IT Security Manager/Senior Manager, you will:
- Shape, manage and deliver IT security projects
- Lead diverse teams of specialists
- Review deliverables developed by more junior staff
- Prepare client reports and presentations
- Be a sales leader in the security space, and work with the business leaders to grow the practice
- Develop and execute go to market plans
- Prepare and deliver clients proposals and other sales supporting materials
- Manage and build new client stakeholder relationships
- Build strong internal stakeholder relationships across EY Advisory services
- Contribute to the development of innovative service offerings and solutions
- Contribute to building the team through recruitment, mentoring and development activities
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
Qualifications:
The successful candidates must have strong verbal and written communications skills, the ability to manage client and internal stakeholders at all levels, and a proven track record in sales, business development, and people management.
This is a challenging role with significant upside for the right person. We work in a highly dynamic environment, and the ability to balance the demands of both delivering projects and building the business is critical.
In your delivery role, you will be leading project teams, interacting with client stakeholders at all levels, and acting as a security subject matter specialist. The right candidates will also have significant skills and experience in disciplined project management.
Successful candidates must have knowledge across the following security domain areas, and will need to demonstrate depth of experience in several of these domains. In addition, knowledge of IT infrastructure is a major value add.
- Security Risk Standards - e.g. ISO 27001-2, AS/NZS7799, A/NZS4360, AS/NZS 13335, COBIT
- Security technology, process, and people analysis, design, architecture, management, and reporting
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Data loss prevention
- Privacy
- Security program management
- Security logical and physical architecture
- Security vendor-provided tools - e.g. IPS/IDS, Firewalls, AV, SIEM, IAM, managed security services
- O/S security
- Network security
- Host security
- Endpoint security
- Security optics and reporting
- Web application security
- Attack and penetration testing
- Application source code assessments
As a Manager you will have 5-9 years experience and as a Senior Manager 10 years plus experience in the IT security space You will hold a Bachelor's and/or post graduate degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other relevant major. Holding professional certifications such as the CISSP and CISM are a major plus.
