Telco Security Services Management:
The Telco Security Services Service Management team is responsible for building and maintaining an extensive fleet of network perimeter and security services provided by IT Engineering. This includes digital certificates, secure proxies, physical and virtual firewalls, internet access, partner connectivity, remote access services, denial of service protection and secure network perimeter environments.
The team's aim is to ensure the right services are available to our internal customers via the right process for the right price. This is achieved by collaborating in defining, overseeing and enhancing products and services to achieve agreed levels of customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness.
The Role:
The purpose of this role is to create, manage and enhance new and existing Infrastructure based Security Services. You will provide leadership and guidance in order to drive excellence, quality and performance for multiple Security Services across the Telco Security Services portfolio. The role requires someone with a strong technical background and business acumen, with experience in product/service management, technology strategy and sourcing, infrastructure lifecycle management, vendor pricing negotiations, supplier management and project sponsorship. You will also have a keen eye for detail, take pride in your work and proactively strive for continuous improvement.
Specifically, you will work on:
- Collaborating with the Telco Security Design team in creating and enhancing technology systems that underpin our fleet ofInfrastructure Security Services
- Creating strategies, business cases and other artefacts to support and justify initiatives across a broad range of Infrastructure based Security Services
- Presenting strategies and other concepts to executive level audiences
- Managing Security Services aligned with the ITIL Service Management framework
- Ongoing development and enhancement of the IT Engineering Service Catalogue
- Validation and management of service risks, including creating and executing risk management plans
- Service lifecycle planning and investment activities for budgetary, pricing and recovery initiatives
- Providing sponsorship and direction to project teams improving the quality, performance and reliability of services
- Representation of IT Engineering at relevant project stakeholder and governance forums
- Ensuring the delivery and performance of our external vendors
- Identifying and implementing process improvements into IT Engineering
The Required Skills:
In order to prove successful in this application and role, you will likely have come from a similar background in IT Product Management / IT Service Management or potentially Project Services and you will possess the following skills:
- Strong technical background - Essential
- Sound knowledge of IT Security technologies - Highly Desirable
- Previous ITIL Service Management experience - Essential
- Financial management (budgeting/forecasting, PL) - Essential
- Articulate and proficient written communication skills - Essential
- Experience creating presentations and presenting to executive level audiences -Desirable
- Program/project sponsorship - Desirable
- Understanding of IT architecture and design - Desirable
- Knowledge of SDLC and project management disciplines - Desirable
- Process Improvement, Productivity and LEAN experience - Desirable
- Risk Management Experience - Desirable
