Rabobank, N.A. has an exciting opportunity for an Auditor Senior (IT) in our Ontario Financial Service Center! Under administrative direction, perform IT audits to assess the overall operational efficiency of Rabobank, N.A.'s (RNA) information technology infrastructure including applications and hardware. The audits assigned to the IT Senior Auditor are usually of a more complicated nature and require a solid understanding of general and application controls in an IT environment and generally require a higher level of audit and banking expertise. Reviews and reports on compliance with established Bank policies, procedures, federal/state regulations, and prudent Banking practices. The IT Senior Auditor uses objective standards and guidelines, which are applied consistently in the review of operations. Audit reports, efficiency enhancement suggestions, and audit observations/recommendations are finalized at the conclusion of audit reviews. A bank team approach by the IT Senior Auditor, in support of the RNA personnel, must be maintained. IT Senior Auditors are also involved with certain administrative functions of the Audit Department as assigned by the Audit Director. IT Senior Auditors often represent the Audit Department on bank project teams and other meetings/presentations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Reviews and assesses the Bank's controls within IT operations including hardware and software/applications through periodical audits of each.
- Conducts IT audits of all sizes and complexity within RNA. Recommends scopes of IT audit for specific functions within assigned audit responsibility.
- Prepares work-paper documentation to support audit work with evidence of deficiencies in controls, inefficiencies and/or lack of compliance with laws, OCC regulations, COBIT and FFIEC standards, and Rabobank and RNA IT policies or procedures.
- Works independently, organizes tasks efficiently, and performs the audit function accurately.
- Coordinates and analyzes the preparation of periodic reports on specific bank activities as scheduled by the Audit Director.
- Provides management with recommendations for revisions to policy and/or procedures when appropriate.
- Provides IT support for investigative audit work relatively unassisted, with direction by the Audit Director as needed, to identify irregularities and to develop controls for fraud prevention.
- Assists in the development of IT audit and analytical programs as directed.
- Supports the Audit Director in budget preparations and audit scheduling as requested to do so. Administers the IT Audit programs of RNA IT operations and applications established in cooperation with other Rabobank IT audit operations. The IT Senior Auditor is often assigned day-to-day audit responsibility for specific units and as such is considered the primary audit contact for those units.
- Represents the Audit Division on project teams and in other bank meetings.
- Supports the Audit Department staff by providing assistance with Computer
Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATS).
Successful candidates will possess the following:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, finance, or accounting with 4 years prior IT auditing experience.
- Excellent understanding of bank accounting principles and analytical techniques.
- Proficient in computer usage and programs equivalent to Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to prepare spreadsheets and management reports utilizing Bank software systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Travel up to 25% possible.
- Valid California Drivers License with clean driving record.
Desirable:
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Experience with data analysis software products, such as ACL or IDEA is strongly preferred.
- Prior financial institution experience preferred.
