IT Senior Financial Analyst recruitment

Responsibilities

Objective:
Providing analysis, forecasting and budgeting support to Moody's Information Technology departments and to Finance management.

Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis, business modeling of operating results, and ad hoc report requests
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on a regular basis and provide insightful analysis by highlighting historic/current/future business performance.
- Communicate and interact effectively with various departments including Finance, Accounting, Sourcing/Procurement, and IT.
- Must be able to synthesize data from multiple sources and present in a singular coherent style.
- Process and systems improvements, where applicable
- Responsibilities also include participating in special projects as required

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business discipline or progress toward equivalent accountancy qualification
- 5-7 years experience
- Experience in an IT finance role and accounting knowledge related to software development / capitalization is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Experienced with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Exposure to multidimensional reporting applications is essential (e.g. Hyperion Planning and Essbase)
- Exposure to the general ledger software (e.g. PeopleSoft Financials)
